How the domain search works

  1. Start with the heart of the idea

Enter one keyword or a short list that captures the product, project, or community you want to name.

  2. Explore useful combinations

We pair it with 197 practical endings such as app, atlas, cloud, forge, studio, and works.

  3. Confirm before you buy

DNS narrows the field. A registrar gives the final availability and current purchase price.

DNS is a signal, not a promise

“DNS: no record” means the domain returned NXDOMAIN when checked. That is a useful first filter, but DNS and domain registration are different systems.

A registered domain may have no public DNS records, and a registry may reserve a name that has never been registered. The registrar result is always the final word.

Generated ideas still need a live check

AI assistants and static naming lists can suggest useful combinations, but a generated answer cannot establish whether a domain is available right now.

This tool requests live DNS information when you search. Use that current signal to build a shortlist, then confirm registration and price with a registrar.

A quick naming check

  • Say it aloud. A strong name should be easy to repeat after hearing it once.
  • Prefer obvious spelling and avoid punctuation you would need to explain.
  • Check the finished phrase for accidental words, ambiguity, and trademark conflicts.

Domain search questions

Can I search more than one keyword at a time?
Yes. Enter up to 10 work-safe keywords separated by spaces. The generator combines every unique keyword with 197 practical endings and prioritizes a variety of endings before moving through the extensions.
Can an AI assistant reliably tell me whether a domain is available?
No. AI assistants can suggest names, but a generated answer or indexed page does not establish current registration status. This tool adds a live DNS check, and a registrar provides the final availability and price.
How many domain ideas does each search check?
The generator creates 9,850 ideas for each unique keyword across 50 extensions. You can check 25, 50, or 100 candidates per batch; status filters show the matching domains from that batch.
Does NXDOMAIN mean a domain is available?
No. NXDOMAIN means the name does not currently resolve in DNS. It can still be registered, reserved, premium-priced, or otherwise unavailable, so always confirm with a registrar.
Which domain extensions can I search?
The extension filter includes 50 useful options, from .com, .io, .ai, and .xyz to .tech, .store, .studio, .design, .community, and more. It starts on All, and you can narrow the results to one extension at any time.
How current are the results?
The app requests live DNS information when you search. Domain registrations and DNS records can change at any time, so the registrar check is the authoritative final step.
Does the Registered filter prove who owns a domain?
No. The Registered filter shows names where DNS was found. That is a useful signal, but it is not ownership data or a complete registry lookup.
Does this tool check trademarks?
No. Domain availability and trademark clearance are separate questions. Search relevant trademark databases and obtain professional advice when legal risk matters.
